Orbit is a tool for finding X accounts to follow. This page explains what it stores and why. It is written to be read, not to protect anyone from anything.
What we collect
- Your account: the email you sign up with, plus an optional X handle you provide so Orbit can seed from your own network.
- Your projects: the niches, seed handles, and settings you enter.
- Public X data: handle-level public fields — display name, bio, follower and following counts, verification, location, last-post date — fetched through the Apify API and cached so re-runs stay cheap.
- Your actions: which candidates you mark followed, skipped, or replied to. These update Orbit’s tracking only; nothing is sent to X.
What we never touch
- DMs, protected accounts, or any non-public data.
- Your X credentials. Orbit has no write access to X and no code path that follows, likes, replies, or posts.
How the data is used
Only to build your ranked list and show it back to you. Orbit does not sell or expose raw scraped datasets, and there is no public directory of follower graphs.
Retention & deletion
You can export any list as CSV, Markdown, or plain handles at any time. Deleting your account hard-deletes your projects, candidate lists, and action history, and purges cached profiles that no other project references.
Third parties
- Supabase — database and authentication.
- Apify — runs the public-data scrapers.
- Anthropic — generates reply guidance from the context you provide.
